Sean McCarthy is a father of four children, the former North American sales manager for a motion furniture company, a life-long Catholic, and a faith-based leader who strives to shine the light of Jesus every day.
Years of leading a sales organization across two countries taught him to listen carefully, weigh a decision honestly and be accountable for the outcome. He brings that same discipline to the question that matters most to him: whether the children of Ward 5 and Ward 6 are being formed in the faith as well as educated.

This campaign is not built on slogans. It is built on seven practices of the Catholic faith — the same seven that order Sean’s own life and would order the way he serves at the board table.

Daily Prayer
Decisions that shape a child’s life should not rest on our own strength. Each day begins in prayer, asking for wisdom before forming an opinion.

The Mass
The Eucharist is the source and the summit. A Catholic school system that keeps Christ at its centre keeps hold of the reason it exists.

The Bible
Scripture read daily forms the conscience. The Word offers a steady measure for difficult questions that shifting opinion cannot provide.

Fasting & Mercy
Going without makes room for someone else. Fasting turns attention outward — toward families under strain and students who go unnoticed.

Spiritual Reading
The saints and the teaching of the Church are a deep well of counsel. Ongoing formation guards against governing by instinct alone.

The Rosary
Our children are entrusted to Our Lady. The rosary is prayed at home, together — and the home is where Catholic education truly begins.
